Administration

Vanessa is the owner of ASTI and a Speech-Language Pathologist. She received her bachelor’s from Augustana and her master’s from the University of South Dakota.  Most recently she graduated from Northwestern University with her Doctorate of Speech-Language Pathology.  She started her practice from her kitchen table in 2013 and now serves patients in both Sioux Falls and Brandon clinics. Vanessa is interested in early intervention, feeding therapy, motor speech disorders, infant feeding, and orofacial myology. Vanessa is also an instructor for TalkTools™ and a proud creator of a 2-day continuing education course, Feeding Foundations: The Kaleidoscope Model. She also presents at webinars and speaks at various conventions for SLPs, OTs, dentists, and dental hygienists locally and internationally. When she’s not working she loves to spend time with her husband, Ryan, and her sons, Drake and Brooks. She also enjoys traveling with her husband and their favorite destinations are Pawley’s Island, South Carolina, and kid-free vacations to Napa Valley!

Anna is the Clinic Director and received her bachelor’s in Business Administration from Southwest Minnesota State University and her master’s in Multi-Categorical Special Education from the University of South Dakota. She has been working for ASTI from the very beginning and helped Vanessa bring her visions to life. Anna has been helping with the clinic since 2016 but started working full-time for ASTI in 2020. Anna’s office is located at the Sioux Falls clinic, but you will find her helping out at the Brandon clinic as well. She started the Literacy Program at ASTI and has a passion for helping individuals with Dyslexia and other reading difficulties. Anna has a five-year-old son, so she does not have much free time, but she loves to make time to go camping with her family in the spring, summer, and fall!

Katelyn is a Patient Care Coordinator. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of South Dakota and is currently pursuing her master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology at Ithaca College. You can find her at the front desk in the Brandon clinic. Outside of work and school, Katelyn enjoys reading, exploring new hobbies, and spending time with her friends, family, and her cats, Meadow and Mabel!

Maddie is a Reading Tutor and Patient Care Coordinator. She received her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from St. Cloud State University and is currently pursuing her master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology at the University of Nebraska-Kearney. Maddie provides tutoring services in the Sioux Falls clinic. You can also find her at the desk in the Sioux Falls clinic. In her free time, she enjoys reading, golfing, walking her dog, Oliver, and spending time with loved ones!

Ellery is a Patient Care Coordinator. She currently attends Augustana University, majoring in Communication Disorders. You can find her working at the desk in the Sioux Falls clinic. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, shopping, and attending Pilates classes. 

Allison is a Patient Care Coordinator. She is currently finishing up her bachelor’s degree in Community and Public Health from South Dakota State University and will be attending the University of South Dakota for her Doctorate in Occupational Therapy next year. You can find her at the front desk in the Sioux Falls clinic. Outside of work and school, Allison enjoys going for walks with her fiancé, traveling with family, spending time with her sister, and anything crafty!

Alyssa is ASTI’s Billing and Administrative Coordinator. She earned her Associate of Applied Science degree in Surgical Technology and is currently pursuing her bachelor’s degree in Health Science/Public Health at the University of South Dakota. You can find Alyssa in both the Brandon and Sioux Falls clinics. Outside of work, Alyssa enjoys traveling with her husband, reading on her Kindle, and taking her dog, Rossi, for walks. She also loves binging her favorite reality TV shows.
