Vanessa, MA CCC-SLP COM®

Owner/Speech-Language Pathologist

Vanessa is the owner of ASTI and a Speech-Language Pathologist. She received her bachelor’s from Augustana and her master’s from the University of South Dakota. She started her clinic nine years ago and now serves clients in the Sioux Falls and Brandon locations. Vanessa is interested in early intervention, feeding therapy, motor speech disorders, infant feeding, and orofacial myology. Vanessa is also an instructor for TalkTools™ and a proud creator of a 2-day continuing education course, Feeding Foundations: The Kaleidoscope Model. She also presents at webinars and speaks at various conventions for SLPs, OTs, dentists, and dental hygienists locally and internationally. When she’s not working she loves to spend time with her husband, Ryan, and her sons, Drake and Brooks. She also enjoys traveling with her husband and their favorite destinations are Pawley’s Island, South Carolina, and kid-free vacations to Napa Valley!

Clinic Director and Dyslexia/Literacy Specialist

Anna is the Clinic Director and received her bachelor’s in Business Administration from Southwest Minnesota State University and her master’s in Multi-Categorical Special Education from the University of South Dakota. She has been working for ASTI from the very beginning and helped Vanessa bring her visions to life. Anna has been helping with the clinic since 2016 but started working full-time for ASTI in 2020. Anna’s office is located at the Sioux Falls clinic, but you will find her helping out at the Brandon clinic as well. She started the Literacy Program at ASTI and has a passion for helping individuals with Dyslexia and other reading difficulties. Anna has a five-year-old son, so she does not have much free time, but she loves to make time to go camping with her family in the spring, summer, and fall!

Patient Care Coordinator

Brittany is a Patient Care Coordinator and received her education at Metropolitan State –  University of Denver. This is her first year with us and she can be found at the front desk in Sioux Falls. Brittany moved from Denver to Sioux Falls with her husband, Alex, and her 3 pets (Charlie, Naala, and Honey) in 2021. In her free-time, she loves to read, watch history and true crime documentaries, and attend music concerts and hockey games.

Patient Care Coordinator

Coreen is a Patient Care Coordinator and can be found at the front desk at the Brandon clinic part-time. This is Coreen’s first year with ASTI and we are happy to have her! Coreen lives in Sioux Falls with her husband, Chad, and her son, Bentley. In her free-time, she loves to spend time with her family and friends, traveling, and attending sporting events of all kinds!

Medical Billing Specialist

Gabby is a Medical Billing Specialist and received her bachelor’s in Human Development and Family Studies from South Dakota State University. This is Gabby’s first year with ASTI and her office is located at the Sioux Falls clinic. Gabby lives in Sioux Falls with her husband, Raymond, and soon-to-be baby girl! In her free-time, she loves to spend time with her family and friends, and watching/attending sporting events (especially Jacks Women’s Basketball)!

Jacque is a Medical Billing Specialist and received her education from South Dakota State University. She has been with ASTI for two years and her office is located at the Sioux Falls clinic. We have been so lucky to have her expertise! In her free time, Jacque enjoys watching shows on Netflix and playing with her pets!

Literacy Specialist/Patient Care Coordinator

Sabrina is a Reading Tutor and Patient Care Coordinator. She received her bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders at Augustana University. This is Sabrina’s first year at ASTI. She provides literacy services at both the Sioux Falls and Brandon clinics and works at the front desk at both locations as well. In her free time, Sabrina enjoys picking up new hobbies like crochet and embroidery. She loves to go for walks in the summer and spend time in Minnesota with her family!

Taylor is a Reading Tutor and Patient Care Coordinator. She received her associate’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assisting (SLPA) from Mitchell Technical Institute. Taylor has been with ASTI for 2 years and you can find her working at the desk at the Sioux Falls clinic. She also provides tutoring services at the Sioux Falls clinic as well. In her free time, she enjoys reading books and spending time with family and friends!

Speech-Language Pathologist

Jane is a Speech-Language Pathologist and received both her bachelor’s and master’s at the University of South Dakota. She has been working for ASTI for four years and serves clients at the Sioux Falls location. Jane loves to work with children of all ages and abilities. In her free time, Jane enjoys walking and hiking outdoors, as well as visiting her precious grandchildren and learning new skills (currently learning about photography)!

Speech-Language Pathologist

Katelyn is a Speech-Language Pathologist and received her bachelor’s at Augustana University and her master’s at the University of South Dakota. She worked at ASTI as an SLP intern in 2019 and joined us full-time at the Sioux Falls clinic as a Speech Pathologist in 2020. Katelyn’s areas of interest are in early childhood language and articulation. In her free time, Katelyn enjoys reading and spending time outside in the summer.

Speech-Language Pathologist

Kelli is a Speech-Language Pathologist and received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of South Dakota. She has been working for ASTI for two years and just moved to the Brandon clinic full-time. Kelli’s areas of interest are Oral Function and Articulation. Kelli is a mom to two children and in her free time, she enjoys kayaking, hiking, spending time on the water, and rollercoasters!

Speech-Language Pathologist/Certified Lactation Counselor

Kelly is a Speech-Language Pathologist and Certified Lactation Counselor. She received her bachelor’s from the University of Nebraska – Lincoln and her master’s from the University of South Dakota. Kelly has been with ASTI for six years and splits her time between both the Sioux Falls and Brandon clinics. Her areas of interest are speech and feeding with newborn babies to adults. In her free time, Kelly loves to spend time with her husband, Andrew, and two daughters, Ruby and Isla, and is expecting baby #3 in May! She enjoys spending time with them at her family’s cabin in the summer and doing anything outdoors with the kids.

Speech-Language Pathologist

Laura is a Speech-Language Pathologist and received her bachelor’s degree from Augustana University and her master’s degree from the University of South Dakota. Laura has been working for ASTI for three and a half years and she services patients at the Sioux Falls location. Her areas of interest include: Autism Spectrum Disorder, behavior management, medically complex populations, oral motor, and feeding. In her free time, Laura loves to spend time outside when the weather is nice. She also loves to motorcycle!

Speech-Language Pathologist

Logan is a Speech-Language Pathologist and received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of South Dakota. This is Logan’s first year at ASTI and we are so happy to have added her to our crew. Logan works at the Sioux Falls clinic and her areas of interest are sensory motor feeding disorders, pre/post frenectomy therapy, and birth to three. In her free time, Logan loves to spend weekends at the lake or river with friends and family. She also enjoys shopping, reading, playing with her dog, and watching shows on Netflix!

Macy is a Speech-Language Pathologist and received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of South Dakota. This is Macy’s first year at ASTI and we have loved having her at our Brandon clinic. Macy’s areas of interest are oral placement therapy, apraxia of speech, tongue thrusts, and speech sound disorders. In her free time, Macy enjoys visiting new coffee shops, reading, and spending time with family at the lake!

Nikki is a Speech-Language Pathologist and received her bachelor’s from Augustana University and her master’s from the University of South Dakota. Nikki has been with ASTI for four years and sees her clients at the Sioux Falls clinic. Her areas of interest are Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy, tethered oral tissues, and apraxia. In her free time, Nikki loves to watch her children play sports, and go cycling, camping, boating, hiking, or really anything outside!

Occupational Therapist

Carissa is an Occupational Therapist and received her bachelor’s in Human Development and Family Studies from South Dakota State University and her Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from the University of South Dakota. This is Carissa’s first year at ASTI and she proudly services patients at the Brandon clinic. She is particularly interested in feeding, sensory, and emotional regulation, and developing play skills, but she loves all areas of occupation. In her free time, she loves to spend time with her dog and family, knitting, sewing and crafting, and reading!

Occupational Therapist

Jaimie is an Occupational Therapist and received her bachelor’s and doctorate degree from the University of South Dakota. She has been with ASTI for almost two years and works at the Sioux Falls clinic. Jaimie’s areas of interest include: pediatrics, sensory, fine motor, handwriting, visual perceptual/motor skills, activities of daily living, and skills development. In her free time, Jaimie enjoys spending time with her family, reading, playing board or card games, and hiking. She also finds joy in watching her sons in their activities and taking their dog, Ruby, for a walk!

Katelyn is a reading tutor and received her education at the University of Minnesota – Duluth. This is Katelyn’s first year at ASTI and she has been providing literacy services at the Brandon clinic. In her free time, Katelyn likes to spend time with her husband, 3 kids, and their Bernedoodle! She also enjoys baking, watching movies, and playing board games.
